As a global manufacturer of collaborative robots, Uoro Robotics (” UORo “) announced that its software platform has successfully integrated the Standard Robot Command Interface (” SRCI “). This innovative move makes Youao the first collaborative robot supplier in the industry to offer this feature.

UNITROL-1000 SRCI is an innovative standard in robotics that aims to provide a unified interface between the Programmable logic controller (PLC) and the robot. By fully integrating the SRCI with the UR series software, the interaction capabilities of the UAO collaborative robots are significantly enhanced and seamlessly integrated with Siemens PLC. Siemens is now the first PLC supplier in the automation market to support SRCI.

SRCI’s unified cross-manufacturer data interface provides interoperability for cobots and redefines and harmonizes instructions with Siemens PLC. This simplifies the deployment of robots, making them faster and easier to integrate on production lines in the existing Siemens ecosystem.

The SRCI technology interface is now available for the UAO E-Series co-bots, as well as the new generation of UR20 and UR30 co-bots. Users can install and activate SRCI by controlling version 5.15 or later of the software through PolyScope, along with the URcap plug-in.
