Make smart factories a reality
Many innovative exhibits demonstrate how integrated digital twins and generative AI accelerate to market as organizations and systems scale; Some exhibits show how to connect the digital and physical assets of an autonomous smart factory. The technology uses digital Design and digital twin simulation, and relies on AI from FactoryTalk Design Studio Copilot to provide customers with a more simplified industrial production experience.
CRIO-9047 In addition, at Hannover MESse, Rockwell demonstrated a digital twin simulation of its quality control process inspired by its customer Nestle. In addition to digital simulations, the exhibit also demonstrates on-site installation product sorting, autonomous material handling and subsequent packaging processes, as well as the production line sorting process of a Nestle product through the factory digital twin technology.
The site also showcased the OTTO 100, an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) from Rockwell’s OTTO Motors, demonstrating the movement of packaging materials in a factory to show visitors how automated material movement can help increase productivity and improve labor costs. The final part of the demo presented the analytics production dashboard in Microsoft Azure and highlighted the ability to contextualize data to and from the cloud in real time.
“Manufacturers are always looking for different ways to drive renewal, efficiency optimization and cost reduction.” “Combining Microsoft’s AI capabilities and trusted cloud platform with Rockwell’s industrial automation solutions enables manufacturers to build the tools they need to accelerate their goals and build the smart factory of the future,” said Dominik Wee, group vice president of Microsoft’s Manufacturing and Mobility business.
CRIO-9047 Powerful Azure Adaptive cloud approach
Rockwell is one of the indispensable highlights of Microsoft’s Hannover MESse, and visitors to the Microsoft booth can get an immersive feel for the design, operation and maintenance environment of the factory of the future. Here, manufacturers can experience how to use an adaptive cloud approach to unify people, data, and systems, unlocking agile production optimization, AI-enabled decision making, and cutting-edge transformation that can be replicated at scale. Microsoft is also leveraging Rockwell’s diverse hardware and software solutions, as well as technologies from Rockwell’s PartnerNetwork™ ecosystem, to help make this vision a reality.
