On June 14, 2024, Honeywell today held the “Ten Years of success, and then ‘Huo’ brilliant – the 10th anniversary of Honeywell UOP Zhangjiagang Integrated Production Base” event in Zhangjiagang, demonstrating the successful practice of Honeywell UOP actively promoting the energy transformation and industrial upgrading of China’s refining and chemical industry with its core technology and innovative solutions for a long time.

Zhangjiagang integrated production base

Covering an area of more than 160 acres, the Zhangjiagang integrated production facility is one of Honeywell’s largest investments in China and the first catalyst production facility of Honeywell Energy & Sustainable Technologies in China. The site has several industry-leading catalyst and adsorbent production lines, including catalysts for Honeywell’s UOP OleflexTM propane dehydrogenation process and CCR PlatformingTM process for continuous catalytic reforming to produce high-octane gasoline, UOP methanol-to-olefin (MTO) catalysts, And molecular sieve adsorbents for oil refining, petrochemical and natural gas processing applications. Two of the catalyst production lines won the title of “Provincial Demonstration intelligent workshop”, fully meeting the growing demand for key catalyst and adsorbent products in the domestic market. At the same time, the Zhangjiagang integrated production base is also one of the important research and development and engineering service centers of Honeywell UOP in the world, and undertakes the innovative research and development, engineering design, project execution, technical support and service of Honeywell UOP in China. The center introduces advanced refining and chemical core technology, and carries out R&D and innovation on this basis, realizes rapid transformation of results, and enables the innovative development of the refining and chemical industry.

As early as the construction phase of the Zhangjiagang plant, Honeywell not only achieved zero discharge of nitrogen and phosphorus industrial wastewater, but also promoted the comprehensive utilization of general industrial solid waste.

Since its operation in 2014, Zhangjiagang Plant has carried out carbon footprint certification for major products, established several ISO quality management systems, and carried out more than 20 sustainable development projects related to production materials, equipment and emission recycling, optimizing the production process of the plant, achieving cost reduction, efficiency, energy saving and consumption reduction.
