Emerson today introduced the AVENTICS™ XV series of pneumatic valve islands. Designed with interoperability in mind, the XV Series valve islands provide a flexible and cost-effective valve platform for machine manufacturers and factory automation applications in different industries. The new valve islands, with common threads and other features, meet regional standards and are available globally, making them ideal for machine manufacturers and end users worldwide.
MSK060C-0600-NN-S1-UP1-NNNN The XV Series valve islands provide higher flow rates in a compact valve set, providing more efficient and flexible pneumatic system performance for factory automation, automotive and tire, as well as food and packaging applications. When manufacturers use the valve, they can effectively increase productivity and provide customized products for specific markets or according to customer preferences.
Wolf Gerecke, director of product marketing for Emerson’s Machine Automation business, said: “Manufacturers across industries need high-performance technologies to increase the agility and flexibility of their manufacturing processes to meet changing market demands. “The new AVENTICS XV Series pneumatic valve islands optimise flow rates and deliver outstanding performance with a wide range of valves and an extensive accessory portfolio.”
The XV Series valve islands include XV03, which has a flow rate of up to 350 litres/minute (NL/min) under normal conditions, and XV05, which is scheduled to be introduced in October 2024 with a flow rate of up to 880NL/min.
All of the XV Series valve islands feature proven Avorts core technologies, including metal threads, parallel wiring, aluminum baseplate and compact dimensions, making them easier to integrate into production system designs.
MSK060C-0600-NN-S1-UP1-NNNN The XV Series valve islands use the same interface, whether it is single wire connection or parallel connection (such as D-SUB connector), with a wide range of connection performance. The valve islands also support a wide range of fieldbus protocols including PROFINET®, Ethernet /IP, EtherCAT, Powerlink, Modbus TCP, IO-Link, and AS-I to simplify integration with machine control networks.
In addition, the XV Series valve islands are easy to debug. The AVENTICS online configurator supports the system layout and provides practical information, while the easy-to-understand system documentation at the design stage helps speed up the machine development process.
