Plx32-ip-pnd is a high-performance EtherNet/IP communication module from ProSoft Technology, designed for industrial applications and enabling bidirectional data transfer between EtherNet/IP™ controllers and PROFINET® IO controllers. The module is a standalone DIN-rail mounting unit that offers two Ethernet ports, each corresponding to a different subnet, increasing network flexibility and configuration options.
​The PLX32-IP-PND module supports Class 1 I/O connections or Class 3 message instructions for EtherNet/IP driver applications, and the PROFINET driver can run as A PROFINET Class A device. It has been certified by ODVA and PROFINET v2, ensuring the compatibility of the devices with their respective networks. In addition, it has been field tested with PROFINET controllers from multiple manufacturers, ensuring a wide range of applicability.
​The module also has a built-in SD card slot (an SD card is optional) for storing configuration files for easy recovery and transfer of configuration or backup between other gateways. The PLX32-IP-PND module has network protocol support including EtherNet/IP and PROFINET, can handle up to 5 Class 3 server connections, and supports multiple PLC types. Such as PLC2, PLC5, SLC, CLX, CMPLX and MICROLX.
