GE Grid Solutions, a leading global provider of power grid solutions, announced the introduction of its new SR489-P5-HI-A20 generator management relay, an innovative product that will provide more comprehensive protection and management for the stable operation of power systems.
The SR489-P5-HI-A20 relay is designed for small and medium-sized generators with economical and efficient protection, measurement and monitoring functions. It provides comprehensive protection for synchronous and induction generators for 25, 50 and 60 Hz applications and supports 12 sampling rates per cycle as well as percentage differential protection. In addition, the relay supports product upgrades via disk, CD or Internet while monitoring and simulating stator and bearing RTDS.
The relay has a variety of protection functions, including but not limited to instantaneous overcurrent (50S), phase overcurrent (51), overexcitation (24), low voltage (27), overvoltage (59), voltage phase reversal (47), low frequency (81U), high frequency (81O), and bearing overtemperature, vibration, overspeed, voltage transformer fuse failure protection, etc. Programmable time current curve (51V) is also supported.
The technical parameters of the SR489-P5-HI-A20 relay include support for 5A phase CT secondary coil input, 90-300VDC and 70-265VAC 48-62Hz control power supply, and analog output from 4 to 20mA. It also features 12 RTD inputs, field programmable types, and separate trip and alarm Settings for open sensor detection and short or low temperature detection.
In addition, the SR489-P5-HI-A20 relay has nine digital inputs and four analog inputs, as well as six output relays and four programmable analog outputs. It also offers two RS485 ports and a front panel RS232 port, with 22 front panel status indicators and a 40-character vacuum fluorescent display and keyboard.
