Fireye recently introduced a new flame scanner, Model 85UVF1-1QD. This microprocessor-based device utilizes a solid-state flame detection sensor with built-in flame relays and automatically set switching thresholds, eliminating the need for remote flame amplifiers or flame switches. The 85UVF1-1QD flame scanner is designed to detect UV emission at wavelengths from 295 to 340 nm and is suitable for a variety of industrial combustion applications, including pipeline burners, industrial gas burners, refinery applications, low nitrogen burners, waste gas treatment units and incinerators.
The scanner features an advanced optical filter that adjusts the optical sensitivity of the detection unit to receive light waves extending from the standard 310 nm range to 500 nm. This makes the 85UVF1-1QD particularly suitable for steel plant applications, such as burners that burn blast furnace gas and coke oven gas. In addition, the device has a complete self-diagnostic function and electronic self-test, ensuring high safety and reliability.
The 85UVF1-1QD flame scanner is powered by a 24V DC power supply and the electrical connection is achieved through an 8-pin quick disconnect connector. It also offers a standard 4 to 20 mah flame intensity analog output. To meet the needs of different application scenarios, the scanner is also available in a variety of models for different spectral ranges, hazardous area certifications and agency approvals.
The operating interface interacts with buttons and LED indicators to provide continuous indication of flame signal strength, flame relay status, scanner status, and selected operating mode. Simplified keystrokes allow the setup process to be completed in seconds. In addition, remote interface outputs are provided, including flame switches, fault relays, and flame intensity.
In general, 85UVF1-1QD flame scanner with its advanced technology, flexible configuration and powerful functions, in the modern industrial combustion control application prospects, to improve combustion efficiency and safety provides a strong technical support
