ABB’s REG216 is an advanced digital generator protection module designed to protect generators and transformers. The main features of the module include all-digital signal processing, continuous self-monitoring of the hardware, loop test procedures performed primarily by software, and setting parameters and recording Settings via a PC. In terms of hardware, the REG216 consists of two main components, which are the main system interface and the parallel bus and related electronic units.
