Emerson, the global leader in automation technology, announced the introduction of the new PR6423/002-030 eddy current sensor, further expanding its product line in industrial monitoring and control systems. Designed for critical rotating equipment applications, this sensor provides accurate non-contact measurements for a wide range of industrial equipment such as steam, gas and hydraulic turbines, compressors, transmissions, pumps and fans.
The PR6423/002-030 vortex sensor has a probe diameter of 8 mm and a threaded interface of M10x1, and is equipped with up to 8 meters of unarmoured cable, which provides users with flexible installation options. Based on eddy current effects, sensors measure axial and radial dynamic displacement, position, eccentricity and velocity, which are essential for monitoring equipment condition and preventing equipment failure.
In terms of technical specifications, the PR6423/002-030 sensor has a linear measurement range of 2 mm, an initial air gap of 0.5 mm, an incremental scale factor (ISF) of 8 V/mm, and an accuracy of up to ±5% over a temperature range of 0 to 45°C. In addition, the sensor is stable in the ambient temperature range of -35 to +200°C, and the protection class is IP66, demonstrating excellent durability and reliability.
Concluding remarks:
The introduction of the PR6423/002-030 eddy current sensor reflects Emerson’s continued innovation in industrial automation and deep understanding of customer needs. The high precision and high reliability of the sensor will provide more solid technical support for industrial monitoring, helping customers improve production efficiency and optimize maintenance costs.
