ProSoft Technology recently launched a new industrial communication gateway, AN-X2-AB-DHRIO. The gateway is designed to connect modern programmable automation controllers such as Allen-Bradley’s ControlLogix and CompactLogix with devices that use traditional Remote I/O (RIO) and Data Highway Enhanced (DH+) communication protocols. The gateway supports a variety of operating modes, including DRIVE mode, HMI mode, Remote I/O Scanner mode and DH+ mode, to suit different industrial automation needs.
The AN-X2-AB-DHRIO gateway has a built-in Web server that can be remotely monitored and configured via a web browser to display diagnostic data, configure, upload configuration files, and set operating modes. It features an RJ45 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and Phoenix 3-pin power connector with typical power consumption of 200 mA@12 VDC or 100 mA@24 VDC and operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C.
In addition, the AN-X2-AB-DHRIO supports multiple configuration options, including up to 32 remote I/O racks, supports all remote I/O baud rates (57.6, 115.2, and 230.4 K baud), and is compatible with ControlLogix and CompactLogix systems. It can also be downloaded to PLC5 or SLC via RSLinx, configured via a web browser, and supports all DH+ baud rates.
The introduction of the AN-X2-AB-DHRIO gateway further enrichis ProSoft Technology’s product line in the field of industrial automation communication and provides a new option for building efficient and reliable industrial control networks.
