National Instruments today announced the introduction of the PXIe-8840, a high-performance PXI Express embedded controller designed to meet the needs of processor-intensive, modular instrumentation and data acquisition applications. The PXIe-8840 is available with a 2.7GHz dual-core or 2.6GHz quad-core processor option, ensuring powerful computing power and the ability to handle complex signal processing and data analysis tasks.
The controller has a wealth of interface resources, including two 10/100/1000BASE-TX Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and one serial port, as well as other peripheral I/O,
these rich interfaces provide great convenience for users to meet diverse connectivity needs. In addition, the PXIe-8840 offers either 8 GB or 2 GB of RAM and an integrated hard drive of 320 GB or 250 GB, depending on the processor core selected, providing users with ample storage space and data processing power.
