Basler Electric announced the DECS-250-CN2CA1P Digital Automatic Excitation Regulator, a high-performance digital excitation control system designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern power systems. The DECS-250 provides precise voltage, reactive power and power factor regulation, as well as system response and generator protection under abnormal conditions. In addition, the optional Power System Stabilizer (PSS) helps meet stringent grid specification requirements, enhancing the overall performance and reliability of the system.
The DECS-250 digital excitation control system is distinguished by its advanced microprocessor design, flexible PWM power unit and powerful protection features. It supports a variety of control modes, including AVR (Automatic voltage regulation), FCR (field current regulation) and FVR (field voltage regulation), and has power factor and reactive operation modes. The built-in protection features of the system include a variety of fault detection and clearance mechanisms, such as overexcitation limit, low excitation limit, stator current limit, etc., to ensure the safety of the generator or motor under various working conditions.
The DECS-250-CN2CA1P model has a variety of communication options, including USB, RS-232, RS-485, CAN bus, and Ethernet, making it easy to integrate into existing monitoring and data acquisition systems. In addition, the system supports multiple language interfaces, simplifying the setup process and reducing potential configuration errors.
Basler Electric’s DECS-250 system also includes BESTCOMSPlus® software, which further simplifies complex parameter Settings with simple drag-and-drop logic programming, real-time chart visualization and automatic PID selection, reducing setup time and commissioning costs.
The DECS-250 has been designed with the user’s convenience in mind during the upgrade process, especially when upgrading from the DECS-200, the DECS-250 can be installed without re-drilling by using an optional panel adapter, while maintaining the same terminal layout as the DECS-200. Reduces labor and setup time in the upgrade process.
With its excellent performance, flexibility and ease of operation, this digital automatic excitation regulator has a wide range of applications in power generation systems, industrial automation, Marine power systems and other areas requiring precise control and protection.
