Motorola Embedded Computing (formerly Motorola Computer) recently introduced a high-performance VME bus single-board computer MVME6100-0163, which is characterized by outstanding performance and high compatibility. It has attracted wide attention in the field of industrial automation and military applications.
The MVME6100-0163 is powered by NXP’s MPC7457 PowerPC® processor running at up to 1.267GHz, and is equipped with a 128-bit AltiVec coprocessor designed for data-intensive applications. It has a VMEbus transmission rate of up to 320MB/s and supports 2eSST (Dual Edge Source Synchronous Transmission) VMEbus performance, which significantly improves data transmission efficiency.
The single-board computer has a rich memory configuration, providing up to 2GB of on-board DDR ECC memory and 128MB of flash memory, meeting the requirements of high memory capacity application scenarios.
In addition, the MVME6100-0163 is equipped with two 33/66/100 MHz PMC-X interfaces to enable the addition of application-specific modules that meet industry standards, as well as dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces to meet the needs of high-speed network connectivity.
The MVME6100-0163 was designed with compatibility with existing VMEbus infrastructure in mind, helping Oems protect their investments in existing VMEbus boards, backplanes, chassis, and software. It supports multiple operating systems, including VxWorks and Linux, providing a flexible software development environment.
This single board computer has a wide range of applications in industrial automation, communications, medical imaging, military and aerospace. It is not only capable of handling complex control tasks and data transmission requirements, but also stable operation in harsh industrial environments, providing stable and reliable solutions for various systems.
