Rockwell Automation recently introduced a new servo drive, the 2198-D057-ERS3, as part of the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5700 series, which performs well in motion control applications. With its high-speed bandwidth of 400Hz and pulse width modulation frequency of 4kHz, this two-axis inverter driver module delivers up to 23A continuous output current and 81.3A peak current for precise and efficient motor control.
The 2198-D057-ERS3 servo driver supports a wide voltage input range of 458-746V DC and is capable of delivering up to 15.9kW of output power. It has an integrated 705μF capacitor that provides 2.3A DC control current for 24V DC non-braking motors and 8.3A DC control current for motors with braking, with a total surge of 4A.
Designed with the needs of the industrial environment in mind, the drive is capable of stable operation in the operating temperature range of 0 to 50 ° C and is suitable for a variety of industrial automation and motion control scenarios. In addition, the 2198-D057-ERS3 also has a Safe Torque Off (STO) function, which enhances the safety of the machine.
Rockwell Automation’s 2198-D057-ERS3 servo drive, with its high performance and reliability, brings new options to the field of industrial automation and is expected to play an important role in the wave of intelligent manufacturing and precision control.
