Rockwell Automation has introduced a new Compact GuardLogix 5380 series controller, model 5069-L310ERS2. The best-seller in the market, with SIL2 security rating and 1.0/0.5M Ethernet node support, this controller is designed for industrial control applications that require high security and reliability.
The 5069-L310ERS2 controller is equipped with advanced processing power, supports up to 31.5MB of user memory and 60 Ethernet nodes to meet complex control needs. It also features integrated motion control with support for up to 256 motion axes and up to 32 integrated motion Ethernet drive axes (position loop configuration). In addition, the controller supports several programming languages, including ladder Diagram (LD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Sequential Function Diagram (SFC), providing developers with a flexible programming environment.
Designed with the rigors of industrial environments in mind, the controller is capable of non-operational use in the temperature range -40 to +85 degrees Celsius and normal operation at 0 to +60 degrees Celsius. It also has excellent anti-interference capabilities, including ESD anti-static capacity up to 6kV contact discharge and 8kV air discharge, and surge transient immunity according to IEC 61000-4-5.
