General Electric (GE) recently introduced a new input/output (I/O) card, IS220PAOCH1BD, which is part of the EX2100e excitation control system and belongs to the ESYS family of I/O cards. Designed for power generation applications, this module controls the excitation of synchronous generators and is robust and reliable for the harsh environments of power plants.
The IS220PAOCH1BD module features seven auxiliary contact inputs powered by 55 VDC and two trip relay outputs, supports both regulated and static excitation systems, and H3 single-channel operation in redundancy mode. In addition, the module is equipped with an isolation transformer to enhance the safety and stability of the system.
The module is widely used in industrial automation and control systems, especially in power generation, oil and gas, chemical and manufacturing industries. It helps improve production efficiency and product quality by providing precise digital input/output functions while ensuring stable system operation.
