Xycom Automation has introduced a high-performance VMEbus processor module XVME-653, which has attracted much attention in the field of industrial automation and control systems with its powerful processing power and rich I/O interfaces. The XVME-653 is equipped with an Intel 233MHz MMX CPU with 512K synchronous secondary pipeline cache and up to 256MB fast page mode or EDO DRAM, providing powerful data processing capabilities. The module integrates the PCI-to-VMEbus interface, allowing users to take advantage of the multiprocessing capabilities of VMEbus while using standard off-the-shelf PC software and operating systems.
The XVME-653 module contains a range of I/O interfaces such as PCI graphics, EIDE, and Ethernet controllers, a USB port, two high-speed serial ports, an EPP/ECP parallel port, and PS/ 2-style keyboard and mouse ports, providing flexible external device connectivity. In addition, the module supports I/O expansion via Xycom Automation’s modular I/O carrier module (XVME-976), which enhances the scalability of the system.
With its outstanding performance and flexibility, this module is suitable for a variety of industrial automation needs, including but not limited to data acquisition, real-time control, signal processing and other application scenarios. The introduction of the XVME-653 further solidifies Xycom Automation’s leadership in VMEbus PC technology.
