August 27, 2024 – ProSoft Technology, a leading provider of industrial automation and communications solutions, announced the launch of the new ILX69-PBM PROFIBUS DPV1 master module. Designed for CompactLogix controllers, this module provides powerful PROFIBUS communication capabilities and supports DPV0 and DPV1 protocols, greatly enhancing the efficiency and reliability of industrial automation control systems.

The ILX69-PBM main module features several advanced features, including automatic scanning, remote Ethernet connectivity, configuration and diagnostic capabilities, and automatic integration. Automatic scanning significantly reduces debugging time and simplifies troubleshooting by fully scanning the PROFIBUS system and uploading device addresses and configuration information. In addition, the module supports storing configuration files or updating firmware via an SD card slot, which can be done without a 1769 CPU.

The module is designed to allow data communication between the CompactLogix processor and slave devices that support the PROFIBUS DPV0 and DPV1 protocols, as an input/output module between the PROFIBUS network and the processor, supporting the full master station specification in accordance with the IEC 61158 standard.
