Meggitt Vibro-Meter® announces the new MPC4 200-510-078-115 Mechanical protection card for enhanced industrial monitoring capabilities
August 27, 2024 – Meggitt Sensing Systems, a leading manufacturer of sensors and monitoring systems, in its Vibro-Meter® product line, announced the introduction of the new MPC4 200-510-078-115 mechanical protection card. This high-performance monitoring card is the core component of the VM600 series of Mechanical Protection Systems (MPS) and is designed to meet the mechanical protection and condition monitoring needs of various industrial applications.
The MPC4 200-510-078-115 card features several advanced technologies, including real-time measurement and monitoring capabilities, utilizing the most advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology. The card is capable of processing up to four dynamic signal inputs and two rotational speed (speed) inputs simultaneously, and all channels can be independently programmed to suit different monitoring requirements. Whether acceleration, velocity or displacement (approach) signals can be processed with fully programmable dynamic signal inputs. In addition, the card supports multi-channel processing and is capable of measuring a variety of physical parameters, including relative and absolute vibration, Smax, eccentricity, thrust position, absolute and differential housing expansion, displacement and dynamic pressure.
Digital processing capabilities include digital filtering, integral or differential (if desired), rectification (RMS, mean, true peak or true peak value), order tracking (amplitude and phase), and sensor target gap measurement. The speed (tachometer) input can accept signals from a variety of speed sensors, including systems based on proximity probes, magnetic pulse pickup sensors, or TTL signals, and also supports fractional speed ratios.
Designed with user convenience in mind, the card offers front panel BNC connectors for easy analysis of raw signals, and has 7 front panel leds for status and alarm display. In addition, the MPC4 has a self-test function and a built-in “OK system” to continuously monitor sensor signal levels, indicating any problems due to disconnected transmission lines, faulty sensors or conditioners.
The introduction of the MPC4 200-510-078-115 Mechanical protection card further enricues Meggitt’s product line in the field of industrial monitoring and protection, providing customers with a highly reliable and high-quality monitoring solution. This new protective card is now available, and customers can learn more product details and purchase information through official channels. With the continuous development of industrial automation and intelligence, MPC4 200-510-078-115 mechanical protection card will provide a more solid guarantee for the stable operation of industrial equipment.
