August 27, 2024 – GE Grid Solutions, a leading global provider of power grid solutions, announced the introduction of a new F650-B-A-B-F-1-G-1-HI-P-E feeder protection device. This unit, part of the Multilin F650 family, is designed for feeder protection, control and automation, providing high-speed protection and control capabilities for a variety of feeder management and spacing control applications.
The new F650-B-A-B-F-1-G-1-HI-P-E unit features a number of advanced features, including but not limited to synchronous calibration, directional power protection, overvoltage protection, and multiple overcurrent protection functions. In addition, the device provides an automatic reclosing function, as well as a synchronous check algorithm for optimizing circuit breaker closing conditions.
The F650-B-A-B-F-1-G-1-HI-P-E device also integrates advanced communication technologies, including optional Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), High Availability Seamless Loop Network (HSR) (IEC 62439-3), and Fast Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) (IEEE 802.1D). To improve network availability and reliability for critical applications. The device contains up to three communication ports that can operate simultaneously and provide redundant ports for special applications.
