August 27, 2024 – GE Grid Solutions, a leading global provider of power grid solutions, announced the introduction of a new F650NFLF2G5HIP6E feeder protection relay. Designed for feeder protection, control and automation, the Multilin F650 series provides high-speed protection and control capabilities for a variety of feeder management and bay control applications.
The F650NFLF2G5HIP6E feeder protection relay offers advanced features including, but not limited to, synchronous check, directional power protection, overvoltage protection, and multiple overcurrent protection functions. In addition, the relay provides an automatic reclosing function, as well as a synchronous check algorithm to optimize circuit breaker closing conditions. It also features advanced monitoring and metering functions such as fault locators, fault and event loggers, high-resolution shock graphs and data loggers, as well as a variety of power measurement functions.
The new F650NFLF2G5HIP6E relay also integrates advanced communication technologies, including optional Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), High Availability Seamless Loop Network (HSR) (IEC 62439-3), and Fast Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) (IEEE 802.1D). To improve network availability and reliability for critical applications. The relay contains up to three communication ports that can operate simultaneously and provide redundant ports for special applications.
