August 27, 2024 – Woodward Inc., a leading global provider of control solutions, announced the introduction of its new controller, the 8440-2088. This controller is part of the Incs EasyGen 3000 series, also known as the EasyGEN-3500XT-P2 model. With its advanced technology and versatility, it meets the needs of modern industrial automation for efficient control solutions.

The 8440-2088 controller comes in a plastic package with built-in soft keys and LCD display to show the mode of operation and any alarm level that occurs during operation. Designed for extreme temperature environments, the controller operates from minus 20 degrees Celsius to above 70 degrees Celsius. Compared to the P1 series, the P2 series models offer 3-ph bus voltage measurement, an interface expansion card slot supporting additional interfaces/protocols, and an extensible on-board I/O suite.

The new 8440-2088 controller also comes with some updated features such as direct connection up to 690 Vac, multi-interface kit connection and plug-in replacement, which were not available on previous models of the easYgen-3500XT. In addition, the easYgen-3500XT-P2 has very specific technical specifications, such as the maximum number of discrete configurable outputs that the device can use is 22 and the maximum number of configurable discrete alarm inputs is 23.
