Woodward Inc., a leading global provider of energy control and optimization solutions, recently introduced the MicroNet digital control module 5466-1049. The TMR Kernel PS module is designed for industrial applications that require high reliability and precise control, particularly in critical process control areas such as oil and gas, power generation and manufacturing.
The 5466-1049 module has A 24 VDC main power input and can be adjusted to 10 A or 5 VDC to provide a stable power supply to the rest of the core section. The module must be compatible with the TMR5200 CPU unit and all cores in the MicroNet TMR Kerner power module need to be removed prior to model replacement. This design ensures continuous operation and data integrity during replacement or maintenance.
The module follows strict installation and operation standards and is suitable for A variety of Locations, including Class I Locations, Division 2 Locations, Groups A, B, C, and D Locations, as well as non-hazardous sites. On the front panel of the board there is an LED indicator to show the health of the module. The fault LED will indicate whether the 5V or 5V precharge is working properly.
The 5466-1049 module also has CSA and CE (EMC) certification, ensuring its safety and reliability in different industrial environments.” For more information on three-mode redundancy (TMR) core power modules, please refer to documentation 26167, which contains all the instructions and environmental specifications required to operate this device.
Concluding remarks:
The introduction of the Woodward MicroNet digital control module 5466-1049 further strengthens the company’s leadership position in industrial automation and control. This module is expected to play an important role in improving the reliability of industrial control systems, optimizing energy efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
