National Instruments (NI) has introduced a new PXI Express embedded controller, the PXIe-8840. With its superior processing power, rich interfaces and highly modular design, this controller meets the needs of high performance controllers in industrial automation and test and measurement.
The PXIe-8840 controller is powered by a 2.7GHz dual-core or 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 5700EQ processor, providing powerful computing performance. It supports 8 GB or 2 GB memory configurations, as well as 320 GB or 250 GB integrated hard drives to meet the needs of different scale data processing.
The controller has a wealth of interface resources, including two 10/100/1000BASE-TX gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and one serial port for high-speed data transfer and connection with other devices.
