ProSoft Technology has introduced a new industrial-grade wireless Ethernet radio, the RLXIB-IHW-A. With its high-speed data transmission capability and powerful industrial functions, this device provides a wireless communication solution for industrial automation and control systems.
The RLXIB-IHW-A device supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g standard and is capable of operating in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a maximum speed of 54 Mbps. It has a variety of industrial features including hazardous location authentication, IGMP Snooping, OFDM anti-noise technology, mesh/self-healing relay mode, OPC server diagnostics, extended temperature range, high vibration resistance, and DIN rail mounting.
In addition, RLXIB-IHW-A also provides data and network security, supporting WPA2-802.11i with 128-bit AES encryption and CCM integrity checking, limiting access to only approved device MAC ids, increasing the security of the network.
Its flexible and reliable performance is demonstrated by the fact that a single radio can act as an access point, repeater/bridge and client, supports automatic network configuration, and has self-healing networking and primary redundancy for large networks (such as SCADA systems).
The device also supports power over PoE, enabling the radio to be placed close to the antenna, reducing antenna cable costs and improving wireless network performance. RLXIB-IHW-A also has serial device connectivity, which encapsulates/decapsulates serial data into TCP or UDP packets, and supports advanced features such as multicast and domain name servers (DNS).
