General Electric (GE) recently introduced a new application control layer module, the IS215ACLEH1B, which is part of the EX2100e family to provide a more efficient and reliable solution for industrial control systems. This microprocessor-based controller is mainly used to perform a variety of control tasks over communication networks such as ISBus and Ethernet, and is suitable for various application scenarios such as excitation control, protection, and data acquisition.
The IS215ACLEH1B module is equipped with a high performance Motorola 68000 microprocessor or higher performance processor, as well as 128 KB RAM and 512 KB ROM or more memory. It supports a variety of communication interfaces, including RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, etc., ensuring seamless connection with other system components. In addition, the module has an operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C and humidity of 5 to 95 percent (non-condensing), making it capable of stable operation in harsh industrial environments.
The design of IS215ACLEH1B focuses on the user’s operation convenience, provides a friendly human-machine interface, and simplifies the configuration and monitoring process. The modular design makes maintenance and expansion easy and fast. At the same time, the redundant design of modules improves the reliability of the system. In addition, the module has non-volatile flash memory for storing application code and data, ensuring data security.
GE’s IS215ACLEH1B module is expected to play an important role in power systems, industrial automation, transportation and other fields, especially in power plant steam turbine, gas turbine control systems, it will provide precise control and optimized performance. The launch of this module further enriches GE’s product line in the field of industrial automation and provides customers with more choices.
