Emerson has introduced a new automation control module, the 5X00497G01, a 4-slot I/O substrate unit for Ovation™ control systems designed for a variety of industrial applications. The 5X00497G01 module offers 4 slots for installing a variety of analog input/output modules, RTD input/output modules, digital input/output modules and communication modules to meet the needs of different industrial environments.

The module has been designed for industrial environments and is capable of stable operation in the operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C, while maintaining performance in non-condensing humidity conditions ranging from 5% to 95%. It measures 233 x 175 x 40 mm and weighs 1.0 kg, making it easy to install and integrate into existing automation systems. The 5X00497G01 module has a power supply of 24VDC and consumes less than 50W, which makes it an advantage in terms of energy efficiency as well.
