Emerson Automation Solutions (formerly GE Fanuc) recently introduced the MVME6100, a high-performance VMEbus 6U single-board computer (SBC) designed for industrial control applications. The MVME6100 is highly regarded in the field of automation and control with its powerful processing power, rich memory options and flexible I/O configuration.
The MVME6100 is equipped with several PowerPC processor options, including PowerPC 604e, PowerPC 603e and PowerPC 6200, with clock speeds up to 1.2 GHz, ensuring high performance in data processing and complex task handling. At the same time, the SBC supports up to 2 GB of SDRAM memory, providing enough memory space to run resource-intensive applications.
In terms of storage, the MVME6100 supports IDE hard drives, CF cards or CompactFlash cards, providing users with a flexible data storage solution. In terms of I/O interface, the device provides a variety of interfaces such as VMEbus, PCI, RS-232, RS-485 and Ethernet, and supports a variety of communication protocols to facilitate data exchange and communication with other automation equipment and systems.

In addition, the SBC measures 233 x 167 mm(9.17 x 6.57 inches) and weighs only 0.68 kg(1.50 pounds), making it easy to integrate and deploy.
The MVME6100 supports multiple operating systems such as VxWorks, VxWorks RT, and Linux, providing users with a flexible software development environment. In addition, it supports dual gigabit Ethernet interfaces, providing the hardware foundation for high-performance network communications.
