General Electric’s (GE) Fanuc brand recently introduced the VMIVME-2540 module, a high-performance intelligent counter controller designed to meet the complex needs of industrial automation. With its excellent counting capability and flexible output channel configuration, the module shows strong performance in applications such as line control, data acquisition and real-time monitoring.

The VMIVME-2540 module has a counting capability of up to 4 gigabits of events and is capable of handling extremely fast data streams and event responses. It is equipped with 24 discrete output channels that are capable of providing 12-bit resolution, up to 10 mA for both source and suction currents, and is suitable for a voltage range of +/-10V. This high resolution and current handling capability enables the module to precisely control a wide range of industrial loads.
