Motorola introduced the MVME3100 single-board computer (SBC), bringing new technological breakthroughs in the field of industrial control. This high-performance VMEbus single-board computer, based on the MPC8540 PowerQUICC III™ integrated processor, provides reliable and efficient control over a wide range of processes and systems.
The MVME3100 offers a range of advanced features, Includes SATA, USB 2.0, 2eSST VMEbus interfaces, dual 64-bit /100MHz PMC sites, up to 256MB of flash memory, dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet, one 10/100 Ethernet, and five serial ports. In addition, it supports front and rear I/O as well as a single SODIMM module for DDR memory. Post I/O can be accessed through the Post Transition Module (RTM).
The single-board computer features an MPC8540 processor running at speeds up to 667/833 MHZ, 256KB of built-in L2 cache /SRAM, and an integrated PCI/PCI-X controller. It also features advanced communication capabilities, including two 10/100/1000 Ethernet controllers and 10/100 Ethernet controllers, as well as dual UART and I2C controllers.
The MVME3100 has been designed with the needs of industrial environments in mind and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C with excellent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
