ProSoft Technology, a leading global provider of industrial communications solutions, today announced the launch of its latest Modbus TCP/IP multi-client/server Enhanced network interface module, the MVI56E-MNETC. The module is designed for Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix platform to improve the efficiency and reliability of data communications in industrial automation systems.
With its superior performance and flexibility, the MVI56E-MNETC module supports up to 30 Modbus clients and 20 Modbus server connections, greatly enhancing the ability to communicate with multiple devices in industrial automation systems. This multi-client/server capability enables a single module to communicate with multiple Modbus TCP/IP compatible devices, simplifying system architecture and reducing costs.
An outstanding feature of the module is its enhanced performance, which can handle high data volume and complex communication tasks, and meet the requirements of real-time and reliability. The MVI56E-MNETC is designed to be more responsive in multi-server architectures, minimizing the impact on communication with other servers even in the event of a server suddenly going offline.
The Configuration and management of the MVI56E-MNETC module is carried out through ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) software, which provides a user-friendly interface that makes the configuration process simple and fast. In addition, the module supports local and remote configuration and diagnostics via an Ethernet port, further enhancing its ease of use.
In terms of hardware specifications, the MVI56E-MNETC supports 5VDC and 24VDC power supplies, with specific power consumption of 800mA at 5VDC and 3mA at 24VDC. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 60°C, while the MVI56E-MNETCXT version, designed for extreme environments, can be extended to -25°C to 70°C.
The launch of the MVI56E-MNETC module not only strengthens ProSoft Technology’s leadership position in industrial communications, but also brings new technology options to the global industrial automation market. The module’s high performance and multi-client/server capabilities make it ideal for connecting ControlLogix controllers with Modicon PAC and a wide range of Modbus TCP/IP compatible instruments and devices.
