The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10C1 is a PanelView Standard Operator Terminal. It specifically belongs to the sub-category PanelView 1000 which features a 10-inch, Color active matrix TFT screen, Keypad user interface and Remote I/O communication port. These built-in features enable the device to function as a Human Machine Interface (HMI), providing operator a centralized monitoring and control in the factory floor area.
The 2711-K10C1’s colored display screen allows creation of detailed process mimic with color coded designs and animations. This functionality provides more information such as easily identify the type of material flowing within a pipe, identification of process area, identifying or process alarms and events and other relevant status. The display screen has an effective display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) and resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
for interfacing with the process or machine, control may be initiated via the Sixteen (16) function keys, from F1 to F16 that are fully programmable, whether local or global assignment. The function keys are Stainless-steel domed membrane with an actuation lifespan of 1 million presses.
For data exchange, the 2711-K10C1 has embedded Remote I/O (RIO) interface port supporting daisy-chain architecture. It also has an onboard RS232 communication port for sending print queues to an alarm printer for alarm logging purposes.
HMI applications downloaded to the 2711-K10C1 is developed using PanelBuil32 configuration and programming software. This software allows offline configuration of the HMI, testing, compiling and commissioning. It is a Microsoft Windows application that may be installed up to Windows XP operating system.
