Product Description
Extreme Networks recently introduced the X440-G2 series of switches, of which the X440G2-24FX model has attracted attention for its high performance and flexible configuration options. Designed for campus edge applications, this scalable, cost-effective stackable edge switch supports stacking with SummitStack-V technology and can stack up to 8 cells, each providing 40Gb of bandwidth.
The X440G2-24FX model offers 24 100Base-FX ports for fiber optic network connectivity, as well as four 1Gb ports that can be upgraded to 10Gb Ethernet with a software license for future network expansion. In addition, the switch supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and IEEE 802.3af PoE, which can provide power to edge devices, especially where a large number of wireless access points and IP cameras need to be deployed.
