FCM 10E Fieldbus Communication Module, P/N – P0914YM

The FCM10E Fieldbus Communication Module is a communication interface that allows a DIN rail mounted Fieldbus Module (FBM) to communicate with an I/A Series Control Station via a high-speed optional redundant 10 Mbps Ethernet backbone fieldbus. The FCM10E converts the 10 Mbps Ethernet signal used by the Control Station to the 2 Mbps signal used by the FBM and vice versa. They also provide galvanic isolation between the 10 Mbps Ethernet trunk fieldbus and the 2 Mbps modular fieldbus.

FCM10E modules are used in pairs for redundancy. One FCM10E (or a pair of FCM10E modules) can support up to 30 FBMs.

The FCM10E modules feature a compact design with a rugged extruded aluminum housing that provides physical protection for the circuitry. Up to 30 pairs of FCM10E can be connected to the Ethernet relay fieldbus.

Enclosures designed for mounting DIN rail mounted FBM devices offer various levels of environmental protection for fieldbus communication modules up to the harsh environments of ISA standard S71.04.
