The DS200SDCCG1AFD is a General Electric Mark V Drive Control Card. The GE Drive Control Board DS200SDCCG1AFD has three microprocessors and RAM that can be accessed simultaneously by multiple microprocessors. The board contains the basic control circuitry and software for a drive or exciter. The interface circuitry connects to other boards to generate various types of AC and DC motor drives. The interface circuitry manages and handles drive and motor signals, as well as customer I/O.
Jumpers on the board and software tools can be used to configure the board. You can install the software configuration tools on a laptop, then download and edit the board’s configuration settings from the laptop.
Attach the board to a serial cable on the optional LAN communications card and the other end to the serial connection on the laptop to download the configuration file.
After you’ve finished editing the configuration file, use the serial connection to upload it to the board.
If you’re experiencing problems connecting to the serial port on your laptop, ensure sure it’s configured correctly and that the serial cable is properly connected and situated.
On the board, there are eight jumpers that you can use to customize the board’s behavior. Some of the jumpers are only for factory testing purposes and cannot be altered by the user. To adjust the location of a jumper, grab it with your thumb and forefinger and pull it out of the pins.
For the new position, move the jumper over the pins and carefully insert the jumper over the pins. There are nine wire jumpers on the board that can be used to customize it.
