IC200CPU005 GE CPU module
The IC200CPU005 CPU is a CPU with user configurable memory. It is made by GE Fanuc for the Versamax series. It has been designed with RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports for the internal network. By using the serial port, the CPU can be connected to a programmer or a personal computer for configuration. The CPU can work with a maximum of 64 modules at a time with a maximum of 2048 input and output points. It has a boolean execution speed of 0.8 m sec/k. The IC200CPU005 CPU has been designed with a small form factor. The CPU is 4.20 inches wide, 5.04 inches long, and 2.72 inches deep. The CPU runs with a backplane current of 35 to 135 milliamps from a 5 Volts power source. It has an open enclosure and it should be kept away from water sprays.
The IC200CPU005 CPU has been certified with different standards, including CE. It consumes a total of 35 milliamps at 5 Volts output voltage without using a serial port converter. When using a converter, it consumes 135 milliamps of current with 5 Volts output voltage. A DIN rail mounting base is used for installing the CPU module. The IC200CPU005 CPU is equipped with a removable battery that is used to power the RAM and the real-time clock. The real-time clock stores different time events during operation. The CPU should be properly grounded in order to protect it from electrical damages. The IC200CPU005 CPU is cooled by using the convection cooling method, so the air flow to the CPU module should not be obstructed.
