The cFP-DO-400 (Part number: 777318-400) is a flexible Digital Output Module developed by National Instruments. The module helps control digital signals ranging from 5 V to 30 V. This module is suitable to control CMO and external relays devices. It can also be used to control TTL devices and indicator lights. The NI cFP-DO-400 has built-in diagnostics, which help guarantee distress-free connection and maintenance.
This module has 8 digital outputs and uses a common ground plane for the output channels. All channels have the update rate of 20 KHz. The NI cFP-DO-400 module provides a current of 2 A for each output channel.
Software loop and network speeds determine the data throughput. This module is structured with optical bank isolation and has 2300 Vrms of breakdown isolation. The module does not have any channel to channel isolation. The NI cFP-DO-400 includes a built-in power supply bus. This module includes multiple connections for power and enables the user to attach a field-wired power supply. It is connected to the different terminals, including voltage and other common terminals. They are linked to a power supply bus and provide extra escape terminals for the common and voltage supply. These terminals carry a suitable way to divide power to field devices which require external power.
The NI cFP-DO-400 has the output impedance of 0.3 Ohms for the voltage range from 10 to 30 volts. The greatest output current on all channels is 8 A. The output delay time is 20 µs when the module is on, but the value is 50 µs when the device is off.
