MVI56E-SIE Industrial Ethernet communication module

The MVI56E-SIE Siemens Industrial Ethernet communication module allows Rockwell Automation ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) to easily connect up to 20 Siemens S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 as Ethernet clients , and an S7-1500 PLC running as an Ethernet server. The module uses ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB), which provides a graphical configuration tool for managing module configuration files, and viewing communication and module diagnostic information using the Fast Ethernet port.

The MVI56E-SIE module is compatible with single-slot 1756 ControlLogix backplanes. The current load of the module is 800 mA at 5 Vdc and 3 mA at 23 Vdc. The module supports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with automatic crossover detection. The Ethernet connector is an RJ-45 connector with LED indicators for link and activity. A 4 character, alphanumeric LED display on the module can be used to show status and diagnostic information. LED indicators are also provided on the module to display battery status, application status and module status. The MVI56E-SIE module has an operating temperature range of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and a storage temperature range of -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The module has a vibration rating of 5 G from 10 Hz to 150 Hz. Operating shock rating is 30 G.
