Product Description
The model 8440-2083 is a member of Woodward’s easYgen-3000 family, also known as the easYgen-3200XT-P1. The product is available in multiple languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Polish, Slovak, Finnish and Swedish. It offers an IP 20 level protection system with remote and isolated relay output capabilities.
The control unit of this model is designed to operate safely in a temperature range of -40 to 70°C, which makes it suitable for outdoor applications. It comes with a built-in human-machine interface that provides the same control features as the non-LT version. Models 8440-2083 support single and multi-unit operations of up to 32 units, with configurable analog and discrete I/O. The specific I/O configuration includes 16 external analog inputs (CANopen), 4 external analog outputs (CANopen), 2 analog outputs (multiple voltage and current specifications), 3 analog inputs, 32 external discrete inputs/outputs (CANopen), and 12 discrete outputs.

Woodward’s easYgen-3200XT-P1 (Model 8440-2083) is a versatile parallel generator set controller for OEM switchgear manufacturers, generator packers and system integrators. It combines full engine-generator control and protection functions with advanced point-to-point parallel functions and innovative features. True RMS voltage and current detection (generator, bus and main power) to reduce sensitivity to harmonics.
Supports CAN network communication/control to the engine ECU (supports standard SAE-J1939 protocol and several proprietary engine OEM protocols).
Supports serial Modbus RTU (slave station) communication for SCADA notification and external control.
You can use the Woodward ToolKit service tool on a PC or laptop to configure the configuration.
Connected to the RP-3200XT remote panel, complete notification, control and configuration of the easYgen-3200XT controller via the CANopen protocol at a distance of up to 250 meters.
Comply with multiple certification bodies/maritime certifications including CE, UL/cUL, CSA, BDEW, ABS, Lloyd’s Register, etc.

Proportional load sharing (synchronous or sagging) of up to 32 generator sets, regardless of individual size.
Base load, import/export control, asymmetric load (input via external base load).
Automatic load dependent start/stop for improved power generation system efficiency.
The controller also supports a variety of applications, including emergency backup, distributed generation (DG), island main power, microgrids, utility parallel, combined heat and power (CHP), and switch cabinet upgrades.
